Welcome Back, Pathfinders!

Dear Pathfinder Community,  

Welcome back to a new school year! We are filled with hope and excitement as we embark on this journey together. Our commitment is to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can achieve their fullest potential.

This year, we continue to maintain focus on project-based STEAM learning. Through planning with Universal Design for Learning (UDL), we ensure that all students have opportunities to succeed by offering flexible approaches that can be customized for individual learning needs. We believe that our shared commitment to education and the collective strength of our community will make this year extraordinary. By coming together, supporting one another, and celebrating our diverse talents and backgrounds, we can create a vibrant, inclusive environment where every student thrives.

Please consider joining us for our back to school events that allow your child to see the school, meet their teacher, and connect with new and old friends. Join us on Wednesday, August 28h for our Back to School Open House. Families with last names A-L will be from 5:30-6:00and families with the last names of M-Z will be from 6:00-6:30. The first day of school for 2nd-5th grade students is Tuesday, September 3rd at 9:00AM. Our Kindergarten and 1st grade students will join us for their first day on Friday, September 6th. More information about our WaKids Home to School Connection meetings for K/1 families will come out soon. 

Let's make this year one of growth, discovery, and success for all our students. We look forward to partnering with you to create a positive and enriching experience.

  • Class Placement: LIVE through Parent Portal by 5PM on Tuesday, August 27th. PSD interfaces designating teacher assignment prior to 8/27/2024 are subject to change. 

    Open House/Meet the Teacher: Wednesday, August 28, 2024

    • Last Name A-L 5:30-6:00
    • Last Name M-Z 6:00-6:30

    First day of school for 2nd through 5th Grade: Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 9:00AM (no school for K/1 students)

    First day of school for Kindergarten and 1st Grade: Friday, September 6, 2024 at 9:00AM

    • K/1 students and families will participate in WaKids Home-to-School Connection meetings during 9/3-9/5. More details to come. 

  • The Peninsula School District is committed to creating equitable and inclusive learning environments. To achieve this, PSD will supply all basic educational school supplies to Pre-K through 12th grade students.
