WAITLIST PROCESS: All students who entered the lottery will be drawn during the lottery process. Once full occupancy has been reached, students drawn will be placed on the waitlist.  After the two day acceptance period, vacant spots will be filled from the waitlist, starting at the top. After the first trimester, should we have any vacancies, we will fill from the waitlist. In February, we will dissolve the waitlist and encourage families who are interested in joining Pioneer to re-enter the enrollment interest process for the lottery again the following year. For the 2021-2022 school year, we are carrying over an 18 student waitlist at 2nd grade. All numbers pulled after that point, will be added to the waitlist.

SIBLINGS: Each year will do our best to welcome Kindergarten siblings of current Pioneer students, as space allows. Remaining vacancies at Kindergarten will be filled through the lottery. For subsequent grades 1st-5th, we will attempt to welcome siblings of current Pioneer students from the waitlist, as vacancies allow, and then open the lottery to fill any additional vacancies.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS: Pioneer offers a variety of special programs to assist students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavior needs. Pioneer houses special education personnel to serve students who receive resource room, TRAC (social-emotional and behavior program) and related services (SLP, OT, PT, etc.), as well as LAP(Learning Assistance Program), counseling services, and 504 plans.  Please note, however, that throughout the District, we have specific elementary schools designated to house special programs such as PACE (highly capable) and Options (life skills). Pioneer will not house a PACE or Options program and students who are placed in these programs should contact Principal Strader or the Executive Director of Student Services for further information.
